Our Return to School
The return to school and living with Covid-19 has brought about unprecedented changes to our systems and structures and how we operate as a school. We have had to come to some difficult decisions very quickly. Ideally, we would consult on all of these changes, but it would be impossible to do so and progress the necessary work and changes as quickly as they need to be done in a very short space of time. We realise that many parents and students are very anxious about the return to work and we will do what we can to support you. The following messages still stand:
  • Wash and sanitise your hands before coming into the building
  • Wear a mask at all times; it’s mandatory
  • All appointments must be made 3 days in advance
  • There is a green plastic drop box outside the front door for items to be given to students (lunches etc.)
  • STAY AT HOME IF UNWELL:  If in doubt, keep them out. Seek professional medical advice.

Visitors Policy
Our office is very busy each day. Nicola and Fiona do brilliant work for our school. We have a strict policy of no visitors to the school, unless you have phoned the office to make an appointment beforehand. If your son/daughter has forgotten something, please ring the school first to let us know you’re coming/ There will be a plastic drop box outside the front door to leave your child’s belongings in. Please label them clearly. Visitors who refuse to wear a face covering will be denied entry to the school.

Important

Toilet Facilities and Covid-19
We have invested considerably in our toilet facilities. All toilets now have working hand driers soap and hot water.
All toilets now also have hand sanitisers. In order to maintain these facilities, and stop the spread of Covid-19, all toilets in the school will be open only from:
08:30 – 08:55
10:20 – 10:40 (TY, 5th and 6th only)
11:00 – 11:20 (1st, 2nd and 3rd only)
12:40 – 13:20
16:00 – 16:15
All year groups have clearly marked toilets for their exclusive use only. Any student found using a toilet designated for another year group will be suspended.

All toilets will be LOCKED AND NOT ACCESSIBLE at all other times (i.e. during class time). ONLY students who present

a medical certificate stating a need to use the bathroom on request will be facilitated.
This is to give our cleaning staff enough time to clean all toilets and ensure touch points are regularly sanitised.
Of course, genuine cases and emergencies will be catered for.
Please instil in your son/daughter the need to halt the spread of Covid-19 by minimising potential cross-contamination by students wandering corridors.

You & your families
Mind yourself and each other. We are all doing the best we can. We’re all doing a great job. Well done and thank you.
